Dear future me, well done ignoring everyone else's success. I'm proud of you for staying focused. Everyone else goes up, you keep working to follow. I'm proud you let yourself get in your head, but not letting yourself move in. I'm proud you look at the world as a challenge to jog, and not a race to win. You did amazing, even when you weren't perfect. Because you are me. And I am you.. and I'll do whatever it takes to stay like you.



Dear past Me, I respect you. You may not believe it, but it's sooo much harder later. You may not like it, but you get wayyyy more motivated to do things you don't wanna do. You may not acknowledge it, but you end up believing that good can not come without the bad. There is no Paradise. And that's ok. There usually won't be many happy endings. But that makes it that much more magical when it does. Because, what you'll find out is, your enough for the now. You'll be better for the later. And you'll always be ready for the soon. Good job, you. I hope I made you proud. Because I am you, and you are me. And we are unstoppable.

 I didn’t learn control from holding it tight— I learned it from letting go and watching the pieces float. I wasn’t taught how to want more. I was taught how to not ask. To sit in silence. To smile through it. To be grateful for scraps and call it a blessing. Most of the people who raised me only ever survived. So dreaming felt selfish. Wanting peace felt dramatic. And hurting? That was just called life. I got used to pretending I was okay.
