Invitation to Taste

The man sighs, a ragged sound like wind across abandoned fields.

"I don't know the rules," he mutters, "of history's long shields."

She laughs softly, like water over smooth stones that gleam.

A gentle, flowing melody, a glistening, tranquil stream.

"You don't need the recipe to see the bread's good cheer.

Taste and see that the Lord is kind, His love ever near.

Blessed is the one who hides in Him, safe and sound.

In His shelter, true and we are found."

Psalm 34:8, a hymn,

A call to trust and taste Him,

To find warmth in the unknown,

In His love, a warm embrace, forever sown.

"Think of it like a new meal," she shares with a smile,

"No need for the chef’s long story or oven’s steamy trial.

You don't need theology's deep-rooted art.

Just take a slow bite, feel the warmth in your heart.

Step into His shelter, where love is forever sung.

In His warm embrace, you are forever young."
